即便南迴鐵路讓我感動到想落淚，可PROPOSAL也是讓我急到想落淚啊！昨日讀書會的東西都還沒有紀錄下來，至少可喜可賀的是架構終於想好了。雖然之前就有打算這麼做，只是一直沒有非常認真去思考一些過程。我想就直接從美國第二波婦女運動開始談起，並且以Rich的書為起首。在此必須說明的是，為何母職研究要從美國第二波婦女運動談起，可能需給予些背景資料。

Rich的書為重要的分水嶺，首先必須要了解他的研究問題如何可能讓他得到研究的結果。再來，便是他的研究結果如何可能不同於過去，這裡必須要去了解後人為她所編的專書。再來，1960-1990的銜接，便是依靠幾本專書。這裡只需要給背景的介紹和知識即可。之後，這應該算是近代研究的母職實作部分。回顧Feeding the family，仍是要注意他怎麼呈現出自己的研究問題，然後他怎麼去論證。The cultural contradictions of motherhood，著重在於階級的差異以及他所提出的intensive motherhood的概念上。Weaving work and motherhood，必須注意weave這個概念的使用，然後他對於階級上的差異如何解釋。Unequal childhood尚未看，真是緊急。最後，將近代的母職研究作一些統整。同時，提出Dorothy Smith的Institutional ethnography，然後回顧Mothering for schooling。根據Dorothy Smith的方法，試圖提出自己的問題！
